Warehousing facilities
GMA’s computerised stock control system now manages in excess of 150,000 sq ft of secure warehousing space with an annual warehouse throughput exceeding 150,000 tonnes. With over 1,600 spaces of racking and a comprehensive range of specialised equipment, such as paper, pulp and drum handlers, extending fork jibs and mobile floor ramps, GMA have probably handled everything going; including helicopters, yachts, motorbikes – even fire engines.
24-hour coverage
In this industry, even seconds can count for customers with shipping deadlines. So GMA operate a full service 24 hours-a-day from Monday to Saturday mornings to give the fastest service possible. Generally, working times for outsourced hauliers are between 7.30am and 4.00pm, so GMA’s extra hours can make the world of difference to shipping lines and agents with pressing import/export arrangements to co-ordinate.
Technology
GMA’s computerised stock control system saves time whilst minimising the likelihood of errors. Customers also have the option of linking their own control systems to ours via ISDN to help them get an update on their goods in seconds.
Security
GMA’s warehouse is also equipped with an extensive CCTV security system. The site is under constant surveillance by on-site security guards, giving 24-hour protection with complete reassurance.
